The Japan Goulburn Friendship Club is back after being forced to close during COVID-19.
The first meeting will be on Friday, May 21 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at the Goulburn Mulwaree Council Chambers.
Organiser Bev McGreevy is really passionate about all things Japan and said there would be plenty of fun and games on the night.
"We will make origami, learn the basic language, watch a couple of YouTube videos and play bingo," Ms McGreevy said.
"In the future want to play games, have a Pokemon party and do some Cosplay.
"I went to the Daiso store in Sydney and bought a lot of prizes.
"Hopefully we will also have Zoom meetings with the Japanese people in Shibetsu."
Shibetsu has been a sister city to Goulburn for over 20 years now.
The Goulburn Youth Council is a big supporter of the club and always supplies popcorn and cordial.
Ms McGreevy is a teacher and said whenever she took students to visit Japan, they were really upset when they had to return.
She was extremely thankful towards Goulburn Mulwaree Council, especially the general manager Warwick Bennett who gave the club permission to start up again.
The first meeting on Friday, May 21 at the Civic Centre is free for anybody and any age.
