THE Historic Kenmore Hospital has been a virtual battle ground for the past week as Royal Military College cadets converged on the facility for their final assessments.
The exercise simulated a complex urban warfare environment, populated with civilians, an enemy force and an insurgency.
Students had to put their acquired skills to good use, performing not only patrols and security missions but also learning to deal with locals.
When the Post arrived on Monday, Bravo Section of Two Platoon gave us a demonstration of how to clear a building.
The Military says it is appreciative of the support it receives from the local community.
It says Kenmore is the perfect location for these types of exercises, which are essential for getting young officers ready to command our troops overseas.
