There were 12 different elements of the sport conducted and Goulburn Dressage Club president Iris Greer said everyone gave it a great go.
"It was a perfect day for some dressage," Greer said.
"This was our first competition of the year and we gave ribbons up to the fifth place.
"So far, we have only had one training day this year and that was in February."
Greer said the competitors, who came from all over the state, took dressage very seriously.
Sally-Ann Quigley was one of the stars on the day, but it wasn't too much of a surprise as she normally performs spectacularly.
She had a very high score to win her event on a mare bred at Ballymount Farm, Crookwell.

Another competitor was Jose Mendez from José Mendez Equestrian at Tallong.
He was an international dressage trainer and coach but hadn't competed for quite a while, so a lot of people were glad to see him there.
