That is the theme for this year's Reconciliation Week.
And it is a theme that staff and students at Goulburn High have taken to heart.
Over the past week, there have been several events at the school to mark the occasion.
On May 28, students took part in a Reconciliation Week Walk along the Wollondilly Walking Track from school to PCYC Goulburn where they engaged in activities together
During this walk, they learnt about the importance of the local river systems to the Aboriginal people.
Goulburn PCYC manager Jennie Gordon and Goulburn Mulwaree Council councilor Alfie Walker spoke to the students about Aboriginal culture.
A Sea of Hands was also created at the school.
The design was based on the artwork of two Year 8 students, Jack and Will, after they spoke about Reconciliation Week in class.
The hills represent the Cookbundoon Ranges and the river represents the Mulwaree and Wollondilly water systems which are important to everyone in the Goulburn Mulwaree area.
Aunty Veronica said Reconciliation Week was a time for people to connect and move forward.
"Reconciliation Week is the week that non-Indigenous people and Aboriginal people come together to reconcile and connect," she said.
"[They come together] in remembrance of the Stolen Generation and the spiritual and cultural kinship that were taken away from our Aboriginal ancestors and their families with the hope Reconciliation Week helps with the healing so we can all move forward with an understanding of why we should all come together."
Aunty Veronica said it was great to see the school acknowledge Reconciliation Week with the various events throughout that time.
On the final day of Reconciliation Week, staff and students also collected a gold coin donation Gold to go to Australians for Native Title and Reconciliation (AnTaR) and students could wear a coloured accessory to school to celebrate moving forward together.
On National Sorry Day, staff and students also held a minute's silence during roll call.
