The annual Motorcycle Only Swap Meet may have found a new home at the car racing track, with plenty of positive feedback coming from the stall holders.
Goulburn Classic Riders Club president Bruce Tinsley said the event on Sunday, June 6 was still very successful despite a drop in numbers.
"Normally, we would have about 250 stalls, but after the COVID-19 scare in town this week, we still managed to have 160 stalls," Mr Tinsley said.
"People came from all over the country, including one from Western Australia.
"Wakefield Park has bent over backwards to accommodate us.
"This could be our new spiritual home."
The swap meet was for anyone with motorbikes. People could also source parts if they were looking to buy things.
A group from Bungendore decided to attend to see what was on offer and said it was a good day out.
One of the stall holders Peter Dunster enjoyed the day a lot.
"We were selling tonnes of stuff," Mr Dunster said.
"We sold mostly British early motorcycle parts from the '20s to the '70s."
Motorcycling has long been established in Goulburn.
It was in Goulburn that the first Australian Tourist Trophy was held in 1914, then 10 years later the first Australia Grand Prix was also hosted.
