Steven Lester Price, 32, of Murray Street, Goulburn, appeared before Goulburn Local Court on June 15. He pleaded guilty to possession of 4.79 grams of cannabis.
Magistrate Geraldine Beattie told the court the drug was found in a box, on the bonnet of Price's car, with the words 'drug box' written on it.

Solicitor Tim McGrath spoke in defence of his client.
"Having an item like that on the bonnet of the vehicle is just begging the police to look," he said.
Mr McGrath said Price did not own, and had not used, the substance but "understood possession" law.
Mr McGrath told the court the sign was painted on a box used for woodcutting "as a joke" by another family member.
The solicitor said his client was a "non-drinker" who "lived a relatively isolated life".
"He is trying to put his past behind him and move forward," he said.
Price was convicted and fined $600.
