The girls started their day at 9am with a game against Griffith that saw both teams strive for an early goal. However, both had to share the points as the game ended in a nil-all draw even though the STFA girls were slightly the better team.

Their second game was against a strong Bathurst side which was bigger and faster that the STFA outfit.
The game was even for the first 10 minutes, but a mixup in defence saw Bathurst score the only goal of the game. At times, the STFA girls were on the attack and were unlucky not to have pulled back a goal, but the Bathurst defence stood firm.
Their third game was must-win against Parks for a spot in the semi-finals.
They got off to a good start when, in the fifth minute, left winger Ella Pearson ran the ball past three defenders to neatly slot the ball in the back of the net.
The girls went two-up five minutes later when right back Ava Nicholson received the ball deep in her half, ran the full length of the field, and unleashed a shot that left the keeper no chance of saving to score the winning goal.
Needing to win their last game against Orange to make the semi-finals, the girls left their worst game to last and went down three nil.
The Orange side was much biggest and faster, but to give the girls their credit they tried hard to match their opponents even though some players were playing out of positions due to the need to give all players equal time on the field.
The weekend trip to Forbes was a success as the girls have bonded well and are improving with each game.
