I am writing in support of the expansion at Wakefield Park - as a motorsport enthusiast there are precious few tracks to race at. NSW is very disadvantaged with many Sydney residents travelling multiple hours to race at Wakefield Park. The majority of participants stay and dine in Goulburn bringing a much needed injection of income to the area. the expansion will increase the financial income to the region.

I have been competiting, participating and spectating at Wakefield Park for a very long time now, say 20 years abouts, and it's definitely a place that everyone feels like is their home away from home. When it comes to any type of motorsport, even drifting, the tourism in Goulburn thrives when there is a huge event being held at Wakefield Park raceway. It is a no brainer to accept the upgrade for this fantastic venue where countless numbers of people have traveled to from all over the country to have a taste of this wonderful racetrack venue. Everyone has a passion of.motorsport and last thing we need is a racetrack to lose.
I can probably speak for a so many people who have memories at Wakefield Park of times they had a blast on a weekend having there, having the time of their lives so please approve the upgrade and let's bring more tourism to Goulburn.

We are interstate competitors, we bring a team five strong to Wakefield and Goulburn, we usually spend three nights where we eat, drink, sleep and fuel up in your wonderful little city.
We will miss these good times if your council does not get behind this amazing motorsports facility.
It would be unfortunate to overlook the potential in Wakefield Park, you need to look no further than The Bend and Darwin's Hidden Vally Motorsport Complex to see the benefits that a well developed motorsport facility brings to the local economy.

I've been competing at Wakefield for more than 20 years. When I come, I usually stay in Goulburn for two nights together with my race engineer. We eat at local restaurants, spend money for provisions, sometimes need spare parts, always purchase fuel and often need engineering support. We enjoy supporting the local community. Some years we might spend six weekends in your town, depending upon our competitions. I recall how, once the highway by-passed Goulburn, the town became very, very quiet. I highly recommend that the council supports Wakefield raceway and the businesses that benefit from the people who come to your town every day as a result of their activities at the track.

Make the track what it should be, been racing there for 15 years. Three people can't have an impact on thousands.

Wakefield is a fantastic venue that I visit as often as possible. It is well due for an upgrade and will help make more visits and in turn help out the greater community and businesses. I myself make a weekend and spend time in Goulbourn at the same time.

Support for MRI machine
I note with interest the community request for an MRI Machine for the new hospital in the Goulburn Post of 2 June 2021. This is a worthy request and one worth supporting.
I also note the petition for an MRI Machine being organised by Wendy Tuckerman, our local member. Please make sure you sign it.
The Goulburn Community will be interested to know that the BDCU Goulburn Hospital Fundraising Inc has initiated a charity drive at the two Goulburn outlets for Return and Earn to raise money for an MRI machine for the new hospital. This has now become part of the push to secure a much needed machine for the enhanced treatment of patients.
We would really appreciate the Goulburn Community supporting us by depositing their bottles at the Return and Earn outlets and choosing to donate to the BDCU Goulburn Hospital Fundaraising Inc, knowing these funds go toward a needed MRI machine.
