There are three fantastic exhibitions on show including a large scale installation from Dean Cross.
As soon as you walk into the gallery, you will find Cross's creativity come to the fore.
The Canberra born artist explores the possibilities and potentials of life with his work, Icarus, My Son, by turning to the ancient Greek tragedy of Icarus and Daedalus.
He transforms the gallery into a place that invites consideration, movement and your own ways of seeing.
The installation was initiated by the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery as part of The Good Initiative, a biennial $20,000 award to living artists.
In gallery two, you can see local artist Emma Rani Hodges's artwork I would kiss you on the cheek if you listened to me. I'm tired of pleading with you' on show.
Her first solo at the gallery sees her use the concepts of land, country, diaspora and rootlessness.
Her work constructs fictive spaces, combining found natural objects such as banksia cones and cicada shells, manufactured objects such as fabric sent by their grandmother in Thailand, poetic prose and characters from Thai mythology.
The third and final exhibition is at the window where Cross' father Mike Cross selected a single print by Sidney Long, The Lagoon, from the permanent collection.
The work was exhibited in the show that launched the Gallery's existing building back in 1990.
The Window continues to be a place that brings new voices and ideas to Goulburn.
