The council has locked in three pop-up consultation sessions as part of the Towards 2042 project to garner your ideas. Face to face meetings were earlier postponed due to COVID-19 concerns.
Pop-up consultation will be held in Goulburn, Tarago and Marulan this week with an online survey continuing for another two weeks to ensure the community has the chance to provide feedback.
"We have had a great response to the online survey already, with over 100 people taking the chance to provide feedback on the future of our region," Mayor Bob Kirk said.

"It's also important that we get out to offer the chance for face-to-face consultation, and although it is difficult in the current environment, I'm pleased that staff are offering these pop-up opportunities.
"A random phone survey is also currently being undertaken, and in particular I would like to see our youth undertake the online survey to ensure we get a balanced vision - after all it is our young people who will see these benefits in decades to come."
The Towards 2042 consultation seeks to shape the future of our community through a new Community Strategic Plan. The council is asking the community some key questions, focusing on where we are now, where we want to be in 10 years, how we will get there, and how we will know if we've been successful.
Staff will guide people through important discussions on the main ideas and priorities for our local government area for the next term of council and beyond, documenting these in a Community Strategic Plan.
Dates and locations for the pop-up consultation are:
- Marulan Hall: Wednesday, July 28 from 4pm to 5pm.
- Tarago Hall: Thursday, July 29 from 4pm to 5pm.
- Goulburn Community Centre: Friday, July 30 from 3pm to 5pm.
The council has a custodial role in initiating and preparing the Community Strategic Plan, but partners, such as state agencies and community groups, will be responsible for its implementation.
Cr Kirk said the plan ensured the whole community was working towards a shared vision for a better future. For more information on how to get involved, visit the council's Towards 2042 page www.goulburn.nsw.gov.au/council/community -strategic-plan
