Learning isn't just important for children.
It's important for people of all ages and that is why 'Lifelong learners' is the theme for Education Week this year.
A few schools in the region, including Bradfordville Public School and Goulburn Public School celebrated the week with fun activities.
Bradfordviille Public School students created videos showcasing their classes. The theme for the video presentations came from their class country names.
The countries were Peru, the USA, Greece, Norway, Switzerland, France and Canada.
Goulburn Public School students had fun with lego. Their kindergarten students buddied together to create marvellous lego constructions which involved lots of discussion and collaboration.
Education week is an annual celebration of NSW public education and the achievements of schools, students and the education system.
A spokesman from NSW Department of Education the theme celebrated education as a lifelong journey.
"It starts from before a child enters an early childhood setting, progressing to primary and secondary school, and continuing their learning journey into adulthood; learning a trade, entering tertiary education, or the workforce," he said.
"Continuous learning is critical for success throughout life and everyone can be a lifelong learner.
"We are developing lifelong learners and our education system is available for a lifetime.
"From the first days in child care to post-school pathways, our education system is preparing young people to be agile thinkers and lifelong learners.

"Learning can look different for individual students and our system is equipped to provide learning support for all of our students.
"It often takes place beyond the classroom and we should celebrate all types of learning that occurs at all levels across our education system."
Education Week started on Monday and ends on Friday.
