While these types of events may not be as appealing as actually heading to the local bar, experienced managers of remote workers report that virtual events are a very effective way of reducing feelings of isolation and promoting a sense of belonging.

Providing emotional support

Last but not least, effective management skills also include ensuring that employees are listened to and given support when needed.

Times are challenging, and ensuring that employees' anxieties, concerns and worries are listened to is vital.
