Covid vaccination availability in the Goulburn area
We are all told by the PM, the State Premier, Health Ministers et al to go and get a Covid vaccination. Goulburn and other non-hot spot regions are not being supplied with the vaccine and if they are it is not available for us. Why is this so? We are told we (NSW/Australia) must reach 80 per cent round October-December but the good people in the Goulburn area will not be great contributors to that percentage. Do we wait to be declared a hot spot before we can get vaccines, noting that travel to Sydney areas or the ACT is not viable due to lockdowns and then quarantine regulations, and so on?

Time's up for Premier
Gladys has got to go. If she had locked down the Northern Beaches and Bondi this may have not happened. But she could not lockdown her political power base. This was a political decision not a decision based on medical advice. Again Gladys has to go.

Incinerator will affect water supply
This Bungonia incinerator will not only impact Bungonia environs but also water quality in Shoalhaven, and Sydney draws water from the Shoalhaven as well.

IPCC Report sinks in
With the full weight of the first of three parts of the latest IPCC report only now just starting to sink in, our Federal Coalition Government's continued intransigence shows a complete and absolute disregard not just for Australians but the rest of the world.
With the increase of temperatures in Australia since 1900 now at 1.4c, putting Australia at the front line of climate battle as we have already seen from the Black Summer bushfires, subsequent flooding, coastal erosion and more.
Specious arguments about the cost to the economy of talking action on the climate and similarly that Australia is a leader in emissions reduction when it is one of the very worst laggards, many see as simply lies.
The impact of Australia's lack of climate action and meaningful targets affects not just Australians but the citizens of all countries.
Already Australia's reputation as a responsible country is eroded by this Government's actions and non-action. That reputational damage will be followed by economic damage as signalled economic sanctions are effected.
It seems that the current Coalition Government, the Nationals in particular, are happy to represent the Fossil Fuel lobby and not their constituents.
If, after all the years in office, the Coalition continues to sacrifice Australia's interests in favour of perceived political advantaged and by serving the interests of the fossil fuel lobby, then we will have been extremely poorly served and will pay the price, together with many outside of the country.

Roll up your sleeves for cancer patients
The evidence is clear - optimal vaccine coverage is key to controlling COVID-19 in NSW. Evidence is also strengthening that COVID-19 poses a threat to cancer outcomes.
Because of this, Cancer Council NSW is calling on the community to roll up its sleeves and help achieve optimal COVID-19 vaccine coverage, to help reduce the risks of long-term COVID-19 impacts on cancer outcomes.
During the 2020 lockdown, we saw disruptions to cancer screening services and program participation which is aimed at detecting cancer earlier. We know COVID-19 is especially harmful if contracted by individuals undergoing cancer treatment.
The evidence is clear that vaccines work and that accelerating the control of COVID-19 will support our focus on controlling cancer.
