While one case has been confirmed in Queanbeyan, the other one is in Karabar (Queanbeyan) and both these cases are believed to be linked to the ACT.
An additional case, that has been confirmed in Googong, is a close contact of the confirmed case that was reported last week.
Contact tracing is underway and exposure sites are being identified.
The Southern New South Wales Local Health District (SNSWLHD) urges everyone in the area to be alert for any cold-like symptoms that could signal COVID-19, including headache, nausea, sore throat, runny nose, cough, loss of smell or taste, or fever.
If symptoms appear, people must isolate and get tested immediately, and remain isolated until a negative result is received.
Testing is available at Queanbeyan:
- Seiffert Oval drive through (operated by Histopath). Enter via Yass Road 7am to 5pm, Monday - Sunday.
- Queanbeyan Showground drive through (operated by Laverty) Glebe Avenue 8am to 4pm, Monday - Friday 8am - 1pm Saturday
- Queanbeyan District Hospital walk-in 107 Collett St. Entry at the rear of the hospital with dedicated parking on Collett Street. 8am to 4pm, Monday to Sunday.
