Thanks to hospital staff
Just last week I attended Goulburn Base Hospital for a common day procedure.

Given the current climate and the pressure encompassing all in the health profession, I thought that I should acknowledge the wonderful work of the staff there.
From the moment I entered the doors (actually even prior to that, the staff who contacted me with details are included) I was pleased with the approach of staff.
They were, one and all, not only efficient and very professional but friendly, very supportive, and always respectful.
This was not just for myself but as I observed, to every patient and their carer or support person.
Even more praiseworthy is that, considering the obvious pressure on the noticeably overworked, understaffed (and notably underpaid) staff, everyone maintained a cheerful demeanour to those under their care and nothing seemed to be too big an ask.
This is certainly not the first time I have been impressed by the staff at this hospital but given the current situation and the threat of an even greater and deadlier workload
I felt I should express my support and empathy.
A huge thank you to all and sundry to all the the health profession and particularly those poor buggers working their backsides off in Goulburn Base.
Rest assured, your efforts are not unappreciated.

Waste project a step backwards
A waste to energy project is a disgrace and a slap in the face to best practice.
To drop the ball on reuse and burn waste en masse is a mad and dystopian stop gap measure; to not seriously attempt better waste control but continue to shift to atmospheric polution.
An aim of the plant will be to make the pollutants appear opaque and invisible; recall the now famous quote, "It's only a gas".
