According to a NSW Police spokesperson at about 8pm on August 14, officers attached to the Hume Police District were called to a property on Tyrl Tryl Road, Taralga, following reports of a birthday gathering.

Upon arrival, officers observed a group of people gathered around a fire, who then dispersed and fled from police on foot.
Officers spoke to the property owner - a 52-year-old man - who was issued a $1000 infringement for breaching the Public Health Order.
Inquiries are continuing to identify other attendees.
