Goulburn hospital ready for COVID-19 care but vaccination remains key
With the prospect of more freedoms on the horizon Goulburn Base Hospital is equipped to provide COVID-19 patient care, but vaccination levels in the community are "concerning", according to Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman. Meanwhile, Goulburn hospital is prepared for an increase in COVID-19 in the region with rapid swab tests ready to go, and front line staff have been vaccinated and undergone extensive training.
Several cases of COVID-19 recorded in the Southern Highlands and Goulburn
Two new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the Southern Highlands, while three new cases were recorded in Goulburn. One new venue of concern in Mittagong was added to the COVID-19 exposure site. All three new cases of COVID-19 in Goulburn are linked to known cases.

A Christian Brother has been jailed for two counts of indecent assault on a teenage boy 47 years ago while working at former St Patrick's College in Goulburn. Thomas Rodney Sullivan, was sentenced at Sydney Downing Centre District Court on September 24. A jury found the 82-year-old guilty after a trial earlier this year.
Parking fine revenue takes dive but CBD improvements continue
COVID has affected many aspects of the economy, including the council's parking revenue. With fewer people about, just two people were slapped with infringement notices in August when stay-at-home orders came into effect, according to council data. It compared to July when 81 parking infringements were dished out following a total 44 patrols. And while Goulburn's CBD is quieter, improvements are continuing.
Marima makes move into larger CBD location
The opportunity to attract more specialists to town and cater for growth have prompted a medical clinic to relocate. Marima Medical Clinic won unanimous council approval on Tuesday for a new premises in the former Go-Lo building at 152 Auburn Street.
