The properties targeted within the CBD are all located within the Heritage Conservation Area. While contribution to the heritage character of the area was a consideration, buildings of high visibility and public access with CBD enhancement potential were also considered.
This year's accepted grants come in at $21,670. Unexpended funds be held and offered to an appropriate CBD project to be approved by the general manager.
Deputy mayor Peter Walker proposed the unexpended funds be added to the reserve for St Clair Museum renovations. The motion passed unanimously with the remaining $3330 added to existing funds.
Cr Walker said the renovations were "a bottomless pit" of money and "any little bit could help".
