This project comes from the successful funding received as part of Fixing Local Roads grant.
During recent weeks the Gunning Construction crews have installed new culverts as well as extending the existing culverts and installing new head walls.
Collector Road is a critical link joining Gunning (and the Sydney to Melbourne Highway M31) to Collector (and the Federal Highway between Sydney and Canberra).

The road also links the town of Collector to Council services and other amenities in Gunning and in Crookwell.
The Gunning area of the Upper Lachlan Shire is an area of high growth and it is expected that the numbers of people using this road will increase.
School buses, commuters, as well as residents will benefit from this improvement.
Upper Lachlan Shire Council will see the 5km project programmed for completion by February, weather permitting.
