Goulburn Lilac City Festival wraps up for 2021, competition winners announced
The Goulburn Lilac City was a hit last weekend with between 4000 to 5000 people tuning in virtually. Here a list of the winners of all the competitions. Lilac Time has a long history and has been a big part of Goulburn.
Goulburn Bulldogs league tag fullback Brooke McKenna wins best and fairest
The CRRL season may have been cut short, but players were recognised for their impressive work on the field earlier this week. The biggest winner locally was Goulburn Bulldogs league tag player Brooke McKenna who took out the best and fairest award in her competition. Lauren Kelly, Jyi Little and Tom Harmer were the other winners.
Goulburn's John Bowen retires from playing golf
For 92-year-old John Bowen, his 56 year tenure on the golf course has come to an end. He retired recently, but will definitely miss the challenge of the sport itself as well as the people he met. He has played all over the country.
Lambert Karate Dojo wins top prize
The Goulburn Business awards were held recently and Lambert Karate Dojo took home the people's choice award. They also received a $1500 advertising package from Radio Goulburn. They were one of 17 businesses to take home an award on the night.
