Goulburn SES crews received 11 requests for assistance, mostly in the South Goulburn area including South McDonalds and Carrick, near Towrang.

Steve Watson from Goulburn SES said the McDonalds was completely water inundated.

"They probably had 2cm of water right through the whole place including the kitchen, preparation areas and seating areas," Mr Watson said.

"The situation was caused by blocked gutters and gate pipes from the hail.

"The water had no where to go, so it just went up underneath the eaves and into the ceilings."

The McDonalds was closed for a few hours, but opened back up that night.

Two Goulburn SES crews were also at Carrick, about 20km south east of Goulburn.

The crews were there for about four to five hours dealing with snapped trees caused by what Mr Watson described as a "mini tornado".

There were also a couple of factory units with broken skylights attended to as well as a few broken roofs.
