The Goulburn District Cricket Association has put the call out to all local cricketers who want to have a shot at playing in this year's representative side.

This Sunday, October 31, the GDCA will hold representative trials at Seiffert Oval from 1pm in order to find the best local cricketers to represent the region this season.
`"We're encouraging all local players to put their hand up and let us know they're available," GDCA vice president and rep coordinator, Bob Smith, said.
"Come along to the trial and have a practice with us and a field, it'll be a bit of a get-to-know-you session."
This year's rep side will only take part in the Burns Cup, which is scheduled to begin on December 12, with a clash between Yass and Goulburn.
Those two teams will play once again on January 9. The team who emerges on top from those matches will take on the winner of two games between Monaro and Far South Coast in the Burns Cup final on January 30.
The round games will be played on a home-and-away basis, with each team to host one apiece.
Normally, Goulburn would take part in the Stribley Shield and the ACT Cricket Third Grade T20 competition as well, but neither opportunity has materialised for the GDCA in 2021/22.
"We're current holders of the Stribley Shield, but it won't be going ahead this year due to a lack of participation," Smith said.
"COVID's played a role, but prior to that teams were dropping out. I don't know for what reason, but Wagga pulled out, Yass pulled out when they entered the Burns Cup.
"It's a shame, because it's a very longstanding competition.
"We were meant to be playing in the ACT Third Grade T20 comp, but much to the disappointment of Luke Masullo, the administrator of the ACT Southern Districts, and myself, the clubs voted against it, I believe on the basis of the shortened season."
The representative trials will get underway at Seiffert Oval this Sunday from 1pm and will run for roughly two hours. It will include batting and bowling in the nets, to be followed by a fielding session.
