Taxes not technology
Mr Taylor keeps banging on about "Technology not Taxes" ad nauseam. Yet in the "Technology Road Map" just released by his department the government intends to spend $20B propping up their policy.

Where does the $20B come from, Mr Taylor? Does it fall from the sky or out of our pockets from the taxes we pay?
I'm all for government action in reducing carbon emissions but almost all economists in Australia say the best way to do this is to have a price on carbon as that is the most efficient way to reduce emissions.
What I object to is the dishonesty and glib three word slogans that attempt to obscure the inaction of the government and lack of leadership on tackling climate change.

Unite for an Independent for Hume
"Divided we fall. United we win" is an old adage which often rings true. It stands to good reason that combining efforts, resources of all kinds, people power, money, promotion and advertising costs must make for better overall results.
Finding an Independent candidate to unseat Angus Taylor will need a huge combined effort. Putting minor differences aside strengthens causes. So to the two movements in Hume to unseat Angus Taylor, please join forces. You have nothing to lose and everything to win.

Nats squander opportunity
Penny Wong has made the claim that Scott Morrison has wasted tax payers money to 'buy political peace' to get the National Party to sign off on Net Zero.
But wasting tax payers money to 'buying political peace' is exactly what Labor under the Rudd, Gillard, Rudd government did to keep the Greens/Labor coalition in government.
The problem that I see isn't that Scott Morrison bought off the Nats. It is the fact the Nats squandered an opportunity to secure funds which could be utilised to improve educational outcomes for rural youth, address the fact rural people live shorter lives compared to their city counterparts or even address the inequitable burden climate change polices place on the people who manage and care for the land.

Where are our leaders?
Goulburn exists in a dream. Our leadership is non-existent. Goulburn takes blow after blow and our leadership is non-existent or lazily choses to turn a blind eye. It has stood by and watched our industry disappear, jobs vanish before our eyes and the town become a shadow of what it could be.
Where are our leaders? Busy having their photo taken and put in the paper in a meaningless story. Taking pride in the building of more houses without any industry that attracts jobs. When will they get a spine and stand up for anything?
The latest example of heads in the sand is the attempted desecration of the taxi industry with the investigation by the NSW Government into its replacement by Uber. What is the reaction of our Federal member, our State member or most importantly our council representatives? A deafening SILENCE.
The taxi industry employs in excess of 50 people. These jobs will be lost and all that goes with it. Education, jobs, loss of investment, accountability. The pensioners will lose important services, they rely on Department of Veteran Services.
What type of society do we want to live in, an unregulated one where no one gives a damn? Come on Goulburn wake up before it's too late. Leadership people - do your job.
