The meal we enjoyed was very tasty and catching up with the ladies after such a time was very welcome. Because of the limit of members we only had 20 present with four apologies.
Our thoughts and prayers go to the families of June Davies and Helen Routley who recently passed away; they were both long time members of VIEW and will be sorely missed.
Our special congratulations go to Margaret and George Walcott on the birth of their great granddaughter Ella Janelle who arrived in September.
We didn't have a guest speaker, just a day for catching up with those we have not been able to see since COVID lockdown.
Three new members were welcomed - Helen Wilkins, Helen Scott and Belinda Swan, who received their members badges.
Carol Olsen was also presented with her 40 year badge, having joined Goulburn Evening View Club in 1981 and transferring to Goulburn Day View Club in 2013.
We have welcomed 10 new members so far this year and our thanks go to our president Margaret Gooch and to other members who assisted.
Each member today received a packet with "Sunny Smile" sunflower seeds generously donated by Kayleen Tremble to bring a bit of fun to our lives. It'll be interesting to see what they're like when they bloom.
Raffles were won by Margaret Thompson, Jenni Aubrey and Gloria Bell. Robyn Bolin, Barbara Creese, Judy Coe and Cathy King enjoyed birthdays this month.
The lucky door numbers were won by Brenda Writer and Lee Laidlaw and the lucky program won by Margaret Thompson. The Lucky Number draw was not won. Our Monster Christmas Raffle will be postponed to December 2022 due to COVID 19 and the inability to sell our tickets with a greater return.
Just a reminder to keep card fronts from greeting cards you no longer want so we can give them to Sr Dawn, who re-cycles these with her card crafts. Thank you!
Christmas Luncheon will be December 2 at 11am for 11.30am start at the Goulburn Soldiers Club. President Margaret to speak with Chef Paul regarding the menu. We will have a Trading Table, Raffles and Lucky Door Prizes and Lucky Number Draw. As we are having a Trading Table, if you have anything you would like to donate just contact Joan Scott and let her know what you can bring. If you are unable to speak with Joan, just let Maree DeBritt, Margaret Gooch or Jenni Aubrey know and we are happy to receive any items in good condition.
