Goulburn recorded 58mm of rainfall from Sunday to Saturday, taking the total to 191mm for the month, well above the 65mm average.
Crews from Goulburn SES were kept busy in the past 24-hours, but crew member Steve Watson said it was still relatively quiet for them considering what could have happened given the sheer amount of rain the region received.
"We were mainly dealing with a few trees that were down and a couple of leaking roofs," Mr Watson said.
"At the Goulburn TAFE carpark, a branch came down on two vehicles while we had a tree on a house in Goulburn today.
"We had to pass a job onto Goulburn Mulwaree Council because a tree was down on the road in Yarra."
Plenty of causeways in the region were also flooded but Mr Watson said they would start to drain away on Monday morning.
The extra drainage time is down to the fact that the ground is so saturated and there's nowhere for the water to go anymore.
As with the levels of the rivers in Mulwaree and Wollondilly, they were higher than usual.
"The river levels are coming down now, but they did get up to a possibility of more road closures," Mr Watson said.
"We have a flood reconnaissance team out checking them all as well as a flood rescue team on standby."
