The free event run by Goulburn Mulwaree Council was postponed from October due to COVID restrictions and will instead take place over the weekend of December 4-5.
Mayor Bob Kirk said he expected locals to take advantage of the free service ahead of the busy holiday season.
"I am sure a disposal weekend at the beginning of December will work well for an end of year clean-out and expect it will still be a busy weekend," he said.
So what exactly can you get rid of for free?
Residents can dispose of up to 2m3 of bulky household general waste per property, free of charge at Council's waste centres.
This includes household furniture, green waste, cardboard and steel. Absolutely no commercial waste will be accepted, just household.
Council have also stressed that all loads should be fully sorted so that recyclables can be placed in the appropriate areas at the waste centre, otherwise charges will apply.
Waste centres at Goulburn, Marulan and Tarago are open from 7am to 4pm.
