New to Auburn Street, Steptrys is a family-run antiques shop that promises visitors stacks of old-time goodies wherever they look.
Whether it's knick knacks for the mantelpiece, trophies for the man cave or even a custome hand made sign, Steptrys has something for just about everyone.
It's a labour of love for owner Peter Try, who isn't exactly new to the antiques game.
Having run stores in Gerroa and Gunning, Peter is hopeful they'll be a hit in Goulburn.
"I opened one in Gerroa in 1996 after we moved there the year before and we had that until 2003," Peter explained to the Post.
"We actually gave it a rest for a while and then opened up a store in Gunning in 2017 for two years. Now we've just bought a shop in Goulburn and opened it up again.
"We obviously couldn't do anything during the lockdown. We bought the place in August and it just sat empty until things settled down.
"There's plenty more people to come and look at the shop than in Gerroa and Gunning, that's for sure. In Gunning we used to get a fair bit of holiday traffic, way more than in Gerroa."
Steptrys is a family business with Peter's wife Elvira and daughter Steph helping run the show, whilst son Tim is the final piece of the name puzzle, S-T-E-P TRYS.
But Peter, who is a trained sign writer, admitted that he isn't always happy when business is good.
"I like a bit of everything in store," he said
"There's a lot of things for the mancave. I'm a sign writer also so I make them here and you can get the custom made and we make them look old.
"It's full of the kind of old things I like and I actually get sad when something sells!"
Steptrys are located at 129 Auburn Street and visitors are encouraged to pop in and take a look.
