Crookwell Memorial Oval gym to bear Belford name

After a lifetime spent in service of fitness and health among the Crookwell community, Bruce Belford was awarded a significant honour by the Upper Lachlan Shire Council.
As a former powerlifter, Belford won state and national titles during a long career. He spent over 50 years as an active member of the Crookwell Barbell Club, during which time he served as an inspiration to local competitors.

Fire crews were on the scene of a fire at a cottage at the rear of the former St John's Orphanage in Mundy Street.
Crews were called to the blaze at about 3.40pm to find the cottage well alight.
Two men die following a skydiving accident at Goulburn airport
Emergency services were called to the facility, some 5km southeast of Goulburn, after being contacted at 12.50pm regarding an aircraft carrying two skydivers that was in difficulty, police said.
Two male parachutists, aged in their thirties, fell from the aircraft and landed near the airport's runway.
