Alyssa Gregory's excellence in sport has earnt her a NSW Combined High School (CHS) Blue award.

The year 12 Mulwaree High School (MHS) student is a NSW CHS touch referee, South Coast basketball referee and South Coast basketball and Touch Football player.
She represented NSW as a Touch Football referee for three years at School Sport Australia carnivals and was awarded the Steve Lyons medal for the best student referee at the 2019 NSW CHS u15 carnival.
The award is given to students who achieved outstanding representation in their chosen sport and who displayed sportsmanship which embraces the ideals of school sport.
They must be a state representative in their sport and have represented at a state level for a number of years.
Recipients are nominated and must meet strict criteria at a South Coast School Sport level to be successful.
As an athlete, Alyssa has been representing the South Coast since she was in year 6, when she was a member of the South Coast PSSA Basketball team that won the NSW PSSA Championships.
She has also been a member of the South Coast Touch Football side since 2017 and her coach Sophie Broadhead praised her.
"Alyssa consistently plays with outstanding attitude and teamwork," Ms Broadhead said.
"She is commended for making a positive contribution to South Coast sport during her time in secondary school."
At a school level, Alyssa represented MHS in a wide variety of sports including soccer, cricket, Austag, basketball and touch football.
She qualified for South Coast carnivals in athletics and cross country and was a role model for other students throughout her time at the school.
Mulwaree High School principal Sally Curry said Alyssa was not only an outstanding athlete, but "an excellent role model for younger students".
"She typifies hard work and dedication to achieving excellence.
"We will miss Alyssa's positive contribution to all areas of school sport and wish her all the best as she ventures off to university in 2022".
Alyssa also achieved much success at a school level in sporting and academic areas.
She was awarded the Olympic Change Maker medal at the recent year 12 graduation school assembly.
The award recognises students who demonstrate the Olympic spirit of friendship, sportsmanship and striving for excellence both on and off the playing field, through leadership and driving positive change in their school or local community.
