New movie releases
- From January 6, Lilac City Cinema
Two new movies will be coming to the cinema in Goulburn this week. Join the Addams family for The Addams Family 2 (PG), or discover the scandals in The King's Man (MA 15+).
Cinema fans of all ages can also see Sing 2 (PG), Spiderman: No Way Home (M), Ghostbusters: Afterlife (PG), West Side Story (M), House of Gucci (MA 15+) and The Matrix Resurrect (M). Tablelanders can also watch Disney's film Encanto until January 5.

Dan Hopkins performs in Goulburn
- January 7, Goulburn Club, 7-10.30pm
Australian blues, roots and gospel artist Dan Hopkins will be bringing his heart and soul to Goulburn this week.
The performance is free entry.
Bush tradition sessions
- January 7, Goulburn Club, 7.30-11pm
Come along and enjoy an evening full of poems, Australian folk music, dances and more. If you want to, you can also sing along and even take part in the performances.

Hockey NSW Open Men Indoor State Championship
- January 7, 47 Braidwood Road, Goulburn
Come along and support local teams at this event. Teams from Nepean, Illawarra, the South Coast, Sydney, Dubbo, Grafton, Bathurst, Port Macquarie, Newcastle and Parkes will also compete.

Goulburn Parkrun
- January 8, off Fitzroy Street, Goulburn, 8-9am
This weekly activity gives locals of all ages and abilities the chance to take part in a five kilometre run and connect with others.
Attendees must register before they come along, and can bring a printed copy of their barcodes if they want to be timed on the day. They can register and learn more by emailing goulburnhelpers@parkrun.com.
A post-run catch up will be take place at the Greengrocer Cycling and Café on Clifford Street.
Goulburn Rotary Parkside Markets
- January 8, 3 Montague Street, Goulburn, 8.30am-1.30pm
Tablelanders can explore a market full of artisan producers, food, flowers, jewellery and so much more. All funds raised from the markets go towards projects for the Tablelands community.
Exhibition: Genevieve Swifte 'Blister'
- Until January 8, Goulburn Regional Gallery
Canberra based artist Genevieve Swifte's exhibition is full of portraits, still-life pictures and self-portraits which tell a story about trauma and intimacy. She works on a variety of mediums and explores her heritage and connection to Australia's landscape.
Marulan Book Exchange
- January 8, 93 George Street, Marulan, 10am-2pm
Grab some new reads at St Stephen's Church with the monthly book exchange. Have you read a great book that you want others to read? Bring them along to trade!
Market in Tarago
- January 8, Tarago Community Hall, 2-7pm
Discover a wide range of local produce, arts and crafts, wine, antiques and more at this monthly market.

Goulburn Harness Racing
- January 9, 47 Braidwood Road, Goulburn, 11am-5pm
Come along for a day out full of racing. Entry is free and attendees must use QR codes to check-in and wear a mask indoors.
Bungonia Sunday Breakfast
- January 9, Bungonia Community Hall, 9-11am
Come along to this weekly breakfast ran by the Bungonia Progress Association and local volunteers. All proceeds go back to the Bungonia Press Association INC to keep the hall open.
Attendees can enjoy foods like an English breakfast for four dollars, a bacon and egg roll for five dollars, freshly made coffee for four dollars and pancakes with maple syrup, jam, butter and cream for four dollars.

Sunday Sessions
- January 9, Goulburn Club, 1pm - 5pm
Kick back and relax, or even bring your voice and instrument along to Sunday Sessions at the Goulburn Club. A mix of Australian, folk, Americana and Celtic songs will be played. Tablelanders can enjoy Aussie songs from 1pm to 3pm and Americana hits from 3pm to 5pm.
Kids Summer Reading Club
- Until January 28, Goulburn Mulwarree Library
Kids can grab a welcome pack and start reading over the summer holidays. Young readers can redeem Summer Reading Club coupons and log their books for the Summer Reading Club market.

Goulburn Bustle
- Until January 28, Goulburn Regional Gallery, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 12-4 pm
The gallery's permanent exhibition will take over the gallery's main exhibition space with new acquisitions, hidden gems and favourites from previous showcases.
The collection has been curated by the gallery's team, and is the last exhibition of 2021, and a welcome to 2022.
Adult's Summer Reading Challenge
- Until January 31, Goulburn Mulwaree Library
You can be in the running to win vouchers from places like Lilac City Cinema, Shop 2580 and the Bookshop Bowral. Tablelanders need to complete a registration form at the library and will receive a goodie bag. The reading challenge has an around the world theme.
