A residential subdivision at Eastgrove, CBD shop top housing and plans for a multi-unit complex off Taralga Road are among just some developments in the wind for Goulburn.

The council is calling for submissions on the development applications, currently on public exhibition.
Laterals Planning has lodged a DA on behalf of owners for a 34-lot residential subdivision at 20 Forbes Street.
The site, just north of the Lansdowne Estate, would expand housing into a previously untouched area of Eastgrove, if approved.
The owners are proposing to develop the land into lots ranging from 700 square metres to 1.13 hectares on the R2 low density residential zoned area. Building work is valued at $1.5 million.
The DA seeks to change an earlier approved 30-lot subdivision on the site.
The plan involves creation of a 15-metre wide ring road through the subdivision, with access from Hercules, Emma and Leeson Streets. A water cycle management plan has also been submitted for the traditionally flood-prone land and includes provision for inter-allotment drainage and a bioretention basin.
The area is also known for its aboriginal cultural history. A cultural assessment stated that two Aboriginal sites were located, one of which was an "isolated find."
The Pejar Aboriginal Land Council has recommended that landowners be informed that artefacts on their properties have been recorded and protected. An Aboriginal Heritage Impact Permit must be obtained from the Office of Environment and Heritage before work can begin. Further, if any artefacts are discovered, work must cease immediately and the Office and Land Council notified.

Elsewhere on the residential front, Tim Lee Architects has lodged an application on behalf of owner Daniel DiGiandomenico for a five-lot multi-unit development and Torrens Title subdivision at 33 and 35 Madeleine Drive. It is located within the Joseph's Gate subdivision, off Taralga Road.
The five attached dwellings would sit among detached single houses and duplexes. Many of the houses have granny flats attached, a trend which is drawing the council's increasing attention. Last October, councillors moved to tighten development controls surrounding designs in residential subdivisions such as Joseph's Gate and at Marys Mount where duplexes were springing up amid single homes.
Two single-storey attached dual occupancies and a Torrens Title subdivision are also proposed at 36 Mistful Park Road, Marys Mount. Submissions close on January 19.
Nearby, consultants Tattersall Lander Pty Ltd have applied for a two semi-detached dwellings and a strata subdivision at 24 Matchless Avenue.
"It is noted that the proposed development type is permissible with consent and as such it should be considered that developments of this nature/scale are desired in this locality," the DA states.
"It is further noted that the council has already approved many similarly sized semi-attached developments in this location, thereby further confirming the acceptability of this development style/scale."
Meantime, in the CBD, Maxxbuild Pty Ltd is hoping to maintain the facade of an old shop at 344 Auburn Street but demolish a rear section and build a two-storey structure with a commercial tenancy below and two apartments above.
The building, formerly occupied by Rose City Florist, is one of two identical structures in the heritage conservation area, on the western side of Auburn Street, between Goldsmith and Bradley Streets. A heritage impact assessment does not detail their history but states the area's character will be maintained.
The building is listed as an item of local environmental heritage on the council's LEP.
The application proposes to only demolish internal walls, keep abutting walls to neighbouring shops and install a new bi-fold entry door. Colour schemes will remain the same.
The work is valued at $410,000. Public submissions close on January 17.
Other applications include an eight-lot residential subdivision at 3 Southdown Road, Marulan. The applicant wants to subdivide the land into lots ranging from 2000 to 2120 square metres.
