Community groups and councils in the Southern Tablelands still have a month to submit grants for the sixth round of the Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF).

Round 6 projects will be funded under two streams. The Infrastructure Projects Stream supports the construction of new infrastructure or the upgrade or extension of existing infrastructure.
The Community Investments Stream funds community development activities including, but not limited to, new or expanded local events, strategic regional plans, leadership and capability building activities.
Hume MP Angus Taylor encouraged applications and pointed to previous successful grants.
"Now in its sixth round, BBRF has funded several projects in Hume, including the Goulburn Water Reuse Scheme and upgrades to Rocky Hill as well as funding to upgrade the old Picton Post Office and install street lighting in the main street of town," Mr Taylor said.
"Local governments and eligible incorporated not-for-profit organisations can again apply for grants of $5,000 up to $10 million to cover 50 per cent or more of eligible project costs."
The total amount of funding alliable across the country is $250 million with applications closing February 10, 2022.
