Fun at PCYC
- PCYC Goulburn, 9am-4pm daily
Have a look at all the activities for children aged between five and 12 this week:
- January 10: science experiments and an obstacle course
- January 11: crafty kids and Big Read Bus
- January 12: meet a hero and mega build
- January 13: snowy hydro competition and rock climbing
- January 14: self defence and meditation
Bookings can be made online here. Tablelanders who plan to pay with their creative kids vouchers can email them to goulburn@pcycnsw.org.au with their desired dates.
Games Night
- January 11, Goulburn Community Centre, 6-8pm
Tablelanders between the ages of 15 and 25 can enjoy a games night this week. Goulburn Mulwaree Council Youth Services, Goulburn headspace and STARTS will host games such as Chameleon, One Night Ultimate Werewolf, Forbidden Island and Sushi Go. Food and drinks will be provided.
This is a free event, but attendees must register here.
Open Mic Night
- January 14, Goulburn Club, 7.30-10.30pm
Tablelanders have the chance to perform songs, poetry or even some comedy this weekend. Everyone is welcome to participate and acts will have 10 to 15 minutes to perform. There is a whiteboard when you enter, so write your name down and show everyone what you've got!
Goulburn Parkrun
- January 15, off Fitzroy Street, Goulburn, 8-9am
This weekly activity gives locals of all ages and abilities the chance to take part in a five kilometre run and connect with others.
Attendees must register before they come along, and can bring a printed copy of their barcodes if they want to be timed on the day. They can register and learn more by emailing goulburnhelpers@parkrun.com.
Bungonia Sunday Breakfast
- January 16, Bungonia Community Hall, 9-11am
Come along to this weekly breakfast ran by the Bungonia Progress Association and local volunteers. All proceeds go back to the Bungonia Press Association INC to keep the hall open.
Attendees can enjoy foods like an English breakfast for four dollars, a bacon and egg roll for five dollars, freshly made coffee for four dollars and pancakes with maple syrup, jam, butter and cream for four dollars.

Cartooning with Matthew Lin and Marcelo Baez
- January 18, Goulburn Mulwaree Library, 10.30am-12.15pm and 11.30am-1.15pm
Kids over the age of seven can get creative and learn how to draw anime, monsters or comics with these workshops.
Matthew Lin will teach children how to draw anime and characters to put into comics. Mr Lin will then compete in a fast Draw Off challenge with Marcelo Baez.
Children have the opportunity to draw monsters instead of anime in the second session with Mr Baez.
The first session is made up of an anime workshop from 10.30-11.30am with a Draw Off from 11.30am-12.15pm. The second session is a Draw Off from 11.30am-12.15pm with a monster workshop from 12.15-1.15pm.
Sessions are five dollars each and can be booked here.
Kids Summer Reading Club
- Until January 28, Goulburn Mulwarree Library
Kids can grab a welcome pack and start reading over the summer holidays. Young readers can redeem Summer Reading Club coupons and log their books for the Summer Reading Club market.
Goulburn Bustle
- Until January 28, Goulburn Regional Gallery, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 12-4 pm
The gallery's permanent exhibition will take over the gallery's main exhibition space with new acquisitions, hidden gems and favourites from previous showcases.
The collection has been curated by the gallery's team, and is the last exhibition of 2021, and a welcome to 2022.
Adult's Summer Reading Challenge
- Until January 31, Goulburn Mulwaree Library
You can be in the running to win vouchers from places like Lilac City Cinema, Shop 2580 and the Bookshop Bowral. Tablelanders need to complete a registration form at the library and will receive a goodie bag. The reading challenge has an around the world theme.
