There's a car full of hot food and plenty of stops to make but all Jenny is worried about is the rain.

Goulburn is painted a bleak shade of grey as the heavens threaten to open and add to the already unfamiliar muggy air.
It's Tuesday morning and time for Goulburn Meals on Wheels' northern run, servicing around 14 clients.
Starting point is Goulburn Base Hospital where meals are prepared by staff every weekday morning before being placed in a warmer or esky, depending on what has been ordered.
Like many charities, Meals on Wheels is in desperate need of new volunteers as they provide an essential service to an ever-growing list of elderly.
The rain looks like it's going to hold off as we climb into the car to begin the crisscrossing journey through the northern streets, up past the Police Academy and into Bradfordville.
All clients are different, some aren't well enough to cook while others are simply at an age where preparing a nutritious meal isn't always achievable.
Some stay and chat, some have bags and boxes placed out front in time for lunch.
Knock, knock. "G'day, it's meals!"
That's the general greeting that rings out from Jenny, who with husband Michael, has been volunteering for three decades.
Not everyone is chatty but for some like Joan Kennedy, the social interaction is eagerly anticipated.
At 94, she is very sprightly for her age but no longer drives.
"I've been receiving meals for about three or four years and it is wonderful," she said as we set down her delivery on the kitchen bench.
"The ladies that do it are marvelous, giving their time.
"I think it is important. You see, some people only see the person from Meals on Wheels. I only gave up driving 12 months ago so it's great to have somebody calling in.
"The service that old people have now is wonderful, years ago they had nothing."
Meals are nutritiously balanced with warm and frozen options available, smaller servings, soups as well as a sweet, usually in the form of juice or a pie/crumble.
Once back at the hospital, it's a quick pack up and the rest of the day is yours. All up it takes just over an hour, a blink of an eye when you weigh up the positive impact it has on people.
One of the easiest ways of volunteering, Goulburn Meals on Wheels is on the lookout for volunteers of all ages.
All you need is passion, a Police Check (paid for by Meals on Wheels) and to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
