The Kings Highway is closed again in both directions east of Bungendore due to a serious multi-vehicle crash at Mulloon.
Light vehicles travelling in both directions can divert via Tarago, using Goulburn Road, Braidwood Road, Wallace Street, Goulburn Street, Bungendore Road and Tarago Road.
Heavy vehicles can travel to Goulburn via Goulburn Road and Tarago Road, then use the Hume Highway and Federal Highway to Canberra and Queanbeyan.
Emergency services remain on site.
Update 2 pm:
The Kings Highway has reopened to eastbound traffic.
The highway is still closed westbound, with light vehicles able to detour via Tarago using Goulburn Road, Braidwood Road, Wallace Street, Goulburn Street, Bungendore Road and Tarago Road.
Heavy vehicles can use Goulburn Road and Tarago Road to Goulburn, then the Hume Highway and Federal Highway to Canberra and Queanbeyan.
Motorists are advised to allow plenty of extra travel time and take care through the area.

The Kings Highway has been closed in both directions at Mulloon, east of Bungendore, due to a two car crash.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 pm, January 13.
Emergency crews are on the scene.
Light vehicles are able to detour via Tarago using Goulburn Road, Braidwood Road, Bungendore Road and Tarago Road.
Heavy vehicles are about to detour from Federal Hwy, Hume Hwy, Tarago Rd and Goulburn Rd to return to the Kings Hwy
