Australia Day Celebrations: Victoria Park (Seiffert Oval) Goulburn
- January 26, 136 Faithfull Street, Goulburn, 7.30-9am
Attendees can enjoy an Aussie 'bang-up' barbecue while they watch a junior cricket match on the oval.
There will be a shuttle bus running from Victoria Park to the following celebrations in Marsden Weir (below) from 9am.
A COVID safety plan will be in place.
Australia Day Celebrations: Goulburn Historic Waterworks
- January 26, Fitzroy Street Goulburn, 9am-5pm
Attendees can get involved in water activities like Pedalo boats, floating pontoon for noodle fight competitions, double and triple kayaks and monster stand up paddle boards.
The official ceremony begins at 10am with a Welcome to Country in First Nations language, and a traditional smoking ceremony by proud Wiradjurai and Gundungarra representative Alfie Walker.
There will also be the 2022 Local Citizen of the Year Awards, Citizenship Ceremony and an address from this year's Goulburn Australia Day ambassador Chrisjohn Hancock.
There will be an Aboriginal Arts and Culture Expo, and live music from the Bridge Choir, Goulburn Pipe Band, Leaving Reality band and Hume Conservatorium Scholarship holders.
Residents also have the opportunity to access free entry to the Goulburn Aquatic and Leisure Centre from 9am to 5.45pm, with the Aquarun operating from 11am to 2.30pm.
COVID safety plans will be in place.
Australia Day Celebrations: Marulan
- January 26, Corner of Portland Avenue and Goulburn Street, Marulan, 4-11pm
There will be plenty to do at this celebration such as live music, fire twirlers, jumping castles, a barbecue, clowns, slides, putt-putt golf and food trucks.
Fireworks will commence at 8.30pm.
Organisers encourage attendees to bring their own camp chairs and blankets to limit the amount of surfaces touched.
It is a free event, but attendees can bring along a gold coin donation. Attendees must check in with QR codes when they arrive.
Hockey NSW Indoor State Championship: girls u18s
- January 28-30, 47 Braidwood Road, Goulburn, from 6am
Attendees can come along and support local teams this week.
Ron and Mike Play the Blues
- January 28, Goulburn Club, 7.30-10.30pm
Mike Baker from the Mike Baker Organ Trio, and Ron McLaughlin from the Kate Meehan Band and Diana Wolfe and the Black Sheep will join forces for a musical night. They will be joined by special guest GRUB.
It is a free event for members and guests.
Goulburn Parkrun
- January 29, off Fitzroy Street, Goulburn, 8-9am
This weekly activity gives locals of all ages and abilities the chance to take part in a five kilometre run and connect with others.
Attendees must register before they come along, and can bring a printed copy of their barcodes if they want to be timed on the day. They can register and learn more by emailing goulburnhelpers@parkrun.com.
Goulburn TrackPower Carnival (ft. U17 Madison Championships)
- January 29, Verner and Faithfull Street, Goulburn, 1-6pm
There will be a mix of junior and senior races at this event.
House of Smoke and Fire and Atkinson and Stalker Dental will compete in a men and women's wheel race and Neville Smith Memorial Invitation Roller Derby will compete in the state u17 Madison Championships.
There will be junior races from 2pm and senior and u17 races from 5pm.
Jazz in the Courtyard
- January 29, Goulburn Club, 2-4pm
Come along and enjoy some relaxing jazz this weekend.
Goulburn Invitational: Southern Country Teams Championships Table Tennis Tournament
- January 29-30, Sports Way, Goulburn, 8am-5pm both days
Teams across southern NSW and the ACT will compete in a round robin and multi-divisional tournament.
The semi-finals and finals will take place on Sunday afternoon.
HSRCA Australia Day Long Weekend Historic
- January 29, 4770 Braidwood Road, Tirrannaville, 9am-5pm
Come along for a day full of cars, races sporting superstars this weekend. Tickets will be available at the gate on the day.
Sunday Sessions
- January 30, Goulburn Club, 1pm - 5pm
Kick back and relax, or even bring your vocal chords and instrument along this weekend. A mix of Australian, folk, Americana and Celtic songs will be performed.
Tablelanders can enjoy Aussie songs from 1pm to 3pm, and Americana hits from 3pm to 5pm.
Bungonia Sunday Breakfast
- January 30, Bungonia Community Hall, 9-11am
Come along for this weekly breakfast ran by the Bungonia Progress Association and local volunteers. All proceeds go back to the Bungonia Press Association INC to keep the hall open.
Attendees can enjoy foods like an English breakfast for four dollars, a bacon and egg roll for five dollars, freshly made coffee for four dollars and pancakes with maple syrup, jam, butter and cream for four dollars.

Kids Summer Reading Club

Young readers can redeem Summer Reading Club coupons and log their books for the Summer Reading Club market.
Adult's Summer Reading Challenge
- Until January 31, Goulburn Mulwaree Library
You still have time to dive into some new reads with the library's reading challenge. You can be in the running to win vouchers from places like Lilac City Cinema, Shop 2580 and the Bookshop Bowral. Tablelanders need to complete a registration form at the library and will receive a goodie bag. The reading challenge has an around the world theme.
World Wetlands Day
- February 2, Goulburn Wetlands off May Street, from 8.30am
Tablelanders can learn more about the wildlife, history and previous floods in the wetlands with free tours from FROGS Landcare.
Bird lovers can join President of the local Field Naturalist Society Frank Atram at 8.30am and 10.30am. FROGS Landcare members will give general tours at 9.30am and 11.30am.
The Australian Plant Society will be on hand to offer access to native plants for home gardens, and Local Land Services may also be present on the day.
