The Goulburn Workers Club donated $2000 towards the Ball which has been organised to celebrate the CWA of NSW's centenary.
The very first branch of CWA was established in April 1922 in Crookwell, which is a branch of the Southern Tablelands Group.
The group is made up of 14 branches in the region, including Braidwood, Bungendore, Collector, Crookwell, Goulburn, Majors Creek, Marulan, Mulwaree, Queanbeyan, Tarago, Taralga and Yass.
Some of these areas have a day and evening branch. New members are always welcome at the branch meetings.
Over the years, The Goulburn Workers Club has been a constant supporter of the Southern Tablelands Group.
Many meetings, competition days and events have been held at the Club.
Maria Porreca said the group was extremely thankful for the support.
"This generous donation will go a long way to help us make the Blue and Gold Ball a huge success," she said.
