It's almost dinner time and checkouts at some Woolworths Metro stores across Australia have gone on the blink.

Just before 5pm on Thursday customers started complaining that checkouts were not working.
A Woolworths spokesman said the IT issue was affecting checkouts in approximately 30 stores across Australia.
"The majority of those are in our Metro branded stores," he said.
"We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. There are no issues with the Woolworths website.
"We apologise to our customers in those impacted stores for the inconvenience and thank them for their patience as we work through this IT issue."
