104 cannabis plants seized in Goulburn

A man has been charged after police discovered cannabis being grown hydroponically inside a house in Goulburn yesterday (Friday).

About 3pm, Friday 9 November 2012, police were called to Goldsmith Street following reports of people fighting in the street.

Investigations led police to search a nearby house where they discovered 104 cannabis plants being grown hydroponically.

A 28-year-old man was arrested and taken to Goulburn Police Station where he was charged with enhanced indoor cultivation for commercial purposes, cultivate prohibited plant and possess prohibited plant.

He was refused bail to appear in Goulburn Local Court today (Saturday 10 November 2012).
