100.7 Hot Country Goulburn FM started transmitting at 12pm and is dedicated to playing nonstop country music.
The new station has a strong focus on new material, playing hits by artists such as Taylor Swift and Keith Urban. However, it also plays classics throughout the day, which include songs by bands like Creedence Clearwater Revival.
Hot Country Goulburn is owned by Goulburn Radio Group Pty Ltd, owners of 2GN and Eagle FM, and general manager Steve Swadling says he is very pleased with the way it has turned out.
Mr Swadling believed there was a definite need for the new station in town and said it had allowed the company to cater for a much bigger audience.
