It has launched the careers of many fine performers including Heath Ledger, Isla Fisher, Julian McMahon, Simon Baker, Melissa George, Naomi Watts, Ryan Kwanten and Goulburn’s own Kate Ritchie.
However this week another familiar face has graced the set. Local lad Louis McIntosh (pictured) made his first appearance on Monday night playing the part of Jonathan, a charming young school leaver and possible romantic interest for April.
This was the NIDA attendees first screen appearance and he said watching the episode was interesting experience.
“It was a bit weird watching myself but I was really happy with the way it came along,” he said.
Louis auditioned for Home and Away last year but missed out on the role. This year he was offered the part by the casting director.
He has also scored himself the lead role in a Tropfest film and is currently in talks about a role in an upcoming Australian feature, which will start shooting next year. Louis has plans to travel to the United States with his agent in November next year.
