Teacher Patrick Kennedy said the two-year vocational education course was currently in its second year, with its first class almost ready to graduate.
“These guys have been fantastic,” Mr Kennedy said.
“They’ve met every challenge. I guess it’s credit where credit’s due.”
Over the past months the class of Hamish Campbell, Cameron Hockey, Tim Mitchell, Rhys Mitchell, Jason McWhirter and Sam White have been gaining skills in fitting and machinery they couldn’t get anywhere else.
“We didn’t want to compete with the local TAFE, so we do the modules they don’t do,” Mr Kennedy said.
“We got the machines. Mr Coll (principal) somehow found the money for $28,000 of machinery.”
