Under-8
Drifters White 3 defeated North Whites 0
BOTH teams played well in very warm conditions. Drifters scored three goals throughout the game with some really good lead up and passing in the circle. North Whites had a very good defence, which kept Drifters to a low score.
Great defence from Brooklyn Maher from North Whites, saving numerous attempts by a very strong attacking Drifter's side.
Mikayla Evans dominated the attack again this week for Drifters scoring all three goals. Well supported by Elle McFarlane and Aleesha Price.
Ellen Miners, Renae Robinson and Maddie Loader tried hard all game for Drifters. Becky Miners, Lauren Backhouse and Hannah Painter, the little ones, tried really hard all game also. Well done all girls.
Best for North Whites: Brooklyn Maher and Georgia Roberts.
Best for Drifters: Elle McFarlane and Aleesha Price.
Ajax 5 defeated Drifters Maroons 1
A GREAT game by all the girls in very warm conditions for the second week in a row. Ajax were short on players so Drifters Maroons lent a couple of girls to make it an even number of players on both sides.
Jennaya Ottaway scored four goals throughout the game for Ajax. Well supported by Taylah Spillane, on loan from Drifters, with one goal.
Alli Selmes scored a goal for the Drifters side, her first for the season. All girls played well and look forward to a couple of weeks rest before the season is in full swing.
Best Ajax: Jennaya Ottaway
Best Drifters: Taylah Spillane and Alli Selmes.
Under-11
North Whites 2 defeated Drifters 0
NORTH Whites scored two goals in the first half, Tiarna Boulding scoring halfway through and Shaylee Roberts scoring in the last minute of the first half.
The second half was a very even game with Drifters holding the strong attack of North Whites to keep the final score at 2-0. Well done both teams.
Best for North Whites: Maddison Roberts and Mikayla Murphy
Best for Drifters: Brooke Burley and Renae Banfield.
Ajax 3 defeated Fireflys 0
A FAST even match with all players trying hard. Conditions were hot. Ajax did well in attack with Kira Smith working well in the circle.
Chloe Montgomery was positioned well to score a deflection into the goal. Sally McPaul was strong in defence. Rachel Stevenson worked hard in the halves. Emily Waugh was good in attack, seeing a lot of the ball. Fireflys' goalie had an excellent game. Mikala Apps well done.
Firefly's were strong in defence, with Ellen Day doing lots of work. Maddison Cranston-Roberts worked tirelessly all game. Alex Barry was also strong in defence. Well done girls.

Under-13
Fireflys Red 2 defeated Ajax 0
POPPY Stamatellis had a great game in goals for Ajax. Ajax played without a full team and the conditions were very hot for this time of year. Everyone was feeling it. All players put in a great effort.
Goal scorers: Dayna Saye and Dru Heath.
Best for Fireflys red: Dru Heath, Laura Gray, Chrissy Friend and Elizabeth Duncan.
Best for Ajax: Emily Waugh, Larni Eldridge and Carissa Wright.
Drifters 1 defeated Fireflys White 0
GOOD even game in hot conditions. Flys attacking very strong in first half with a short corner award. Drifters defence held strong to the scores nil all at half time. Great second half with the ball going from one end to the next. Drifters scored by N Lucas, then held on for a great win.
Best for both teams: All players. Great team efforts.
Under-15
Drifters 1 defeated North Whites 0
BOTH teams played constructive hockey with Drifters capitalising on loose play at every opportunity.
Although playing short, Whites held Drifters attacking game at bay for the majority of the game.
Goal scorers: Lara Trevanion.
Best for Drifters: Sarah Dykgraaf and Meg Collins.
Best for North Whites: Kimberley Gann, Ellie Knowles.
