NEWLY installed Catholic Archbishop of Canberra/Goulburn, Christopher Prowse paid his first visit to Goulburn on Sunday. He joined Mary Queen of Apostles Parish priest Fr Dermid McDermott in celebrating the 10am Mass at Sts Peter and Paul’s Cathedral. Afterwards, he mingled with parishioners at a morning tea at the presbytery. Archbishop Prowse promised soon after his November installation in Canberra that he would visit Goulburn soon. The Victorian born seventh Archbishop of Canberra/Goulburn has a special interest in ecumenism. He is also an avowed Hawks supporter, with his father, Frank, formerly playing for the team in the Victorian Football League.
