A woman has been bailed to appear in court next month after she was charged with introducing prohibited items into a correctional facility where she was employed she was employed by the Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network.

Detectives from the Hume Local Area Command executed a search warrant on the 37-year-old’s Nowra residence at 8.30am on Thursday.
She was taken to Nowra Police Station for questioning. Police investigations had begun last week after several items of contraband were discovered in the jail by Corrective Services NSW staff.
Acting Superintendent Evan Quarmby said police investigations were continuing while the woman assisted police with their enquiries.
“Police from the command did some excellent detective work and have been following up some leads in relation to the issue.
“We have seized a number of exhibits that were located in the jail and those are currently being forensically examined,” A/Supt Quarmby said.
“Numerous items that were named on the search warrant were located at the house this morning and have been taken into police custody for further investigation.
“We are looking to interview further people and follow further information.”
The woman has been charged with one count of introduce thing (prescription medication) into place of detention, one count of introduce thing (mobile phone) into place of detention and five counts of possess prescribed/ restricted substance.
The woman was brought before Nowra Local Court and was granted conditional bail to appear before Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday, July 8.
Inquiries into the matter are continuing.
