Many people dressed up in their 1920’s finery, making the White Ribbon Ball a glittering and glamorous event.
One of the organisers, Bernadette Hilton said this year was the third time the White Ribbon Ball had been held.
She said they had raised $16,000 over the past two years and were hoping to raise more than $5000 from this year’s event.
She said the mission of White Ribbon is to change the attitudes and behaviours that support or excuse violence against women in Australia.
“The Ball is a great opportunity not only to raise funds but also awareness while at the same time providing a sophisticated and fun night out for those that attend,” Ms Hilton said. More pics in Wednesday’s Goulburn Post.
