According to estimates from event organisers 100 % Events, more than 750 people turned out for the run, which has become a popular event all over the state.
There was even a visit from special guest ‘Reidy’ from Channel Ten’s ‘Bondi Rescue’, who got into the spirit, commentated and got doused in colour from head to foot.
“We’ve broken 750 competitors, and it was great to see everybody come out from Goulburn and further afield,” Events Manager for 100 % Events, Steve Hunter told the Post.
“It’s all about getting off the couch and to see all the smiling faces at the finish line.”
The Colour Me Fun Run has been travelling through rural and outback areas across NSW with successful events in the Shoalhaven and Batemans Bay.
“And we’re about to announce the dates for another event further afield and it’s going to be heading off the road and into a winery for the first time ever,” Mr Hunter indicated.
'Reidy' was also pleased to be able to join the event, too.
“A little bit of rain before the event didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits and over 700 people came out here from the town of Goulburn and I tell you what, they all seemed to have a pretty good time,” he said.
“I’ve done the Shoalhaven River Festival and this is my second one, and I tell you what mate I can’t believe they pay me to do it- it’s so much fun!
They were like ‘do you want to come back and do it again?- and I said ‘Are you kidding me? It’s awesome!”
