UNIONS are planning a full frontal assault over health decisions in Goulburn.

The Goulburn Base Hospital and Bourke Street Health Service branches of the NSW Nurses and Midwives Association will meet on Friday to plan the next steps.

The Health Services Union has also joined the debate about privatisation.

“Union executives will be meeting with Unions NSW about privatisation of five hospitals,” Association Goulburn Branch assistant secretary Jane Cotter said.

”Everyone is so angry about it.”

She said the community needed to be made fully aware of what was happening at Bourke St.

Ms Cotter told the Post very little detail was available on the logistics of accommodating services before the Hospital redevelopment was complete.

“The community is asking what’s going on and rightly so,” she said.

Ms Cotter could not understand how Bourke St nurses would be accommodated at the Base Hospital.
