The community event brings together national talent to raise awareness of motor neurone disease, a condition that weakens a person's motor neurons and muscles, impacting their ability to speak, breathe and swallow.
The cause is close to the community, with the festival’s founder and Gundaroo resident, Scott Windsor, passing away from the disease in April 2015 after a two-and-a-half year battle with it.
The festival will be held at Gundaroo Park and features ARIA Hall of Fame inductee Russell Morris, The Voice star Mitchell Anderson, top contemporary vocal group The Idea of North and the James Southwell Band.
Event director Scott Harding says Gundaroo Music Festival offers a unique family friendly experience.
“We have a range of entertainment for the whole family, including local food and produce stalls, a fireworks display, silent auctions, a petting zoo, face painting, 4x4 displays, bubble ball soccer, Nerfsalot and more,” Mr Harding said.
“Entry for children 15 years and under is free. We hope this will encourage people to come along to help us do our part in defeating motor neurone disease once and for all.”
It starts at 10am, with Russell Morris closing out the show at 7pm.
