Hibo Green won the toss and started their innings steadily until Joshua Swan fell for 23 and Robert Ings’ luck finally ran out, when Daniel Knight bowled him for 13. Skipper Luke Hayward and Michael McAlister steadied the innings to be 3/65 at drinks.

Crookwell struck back after drinks with Stuart Parsons taking 3/5 in a 5-over spell assisted by Samuel Jackson snaring Hibo’s skipper for 25. Hibo was in trouble when Jake Patterson claimed two more wickets leaving Hibo at 9/127 after 34 overs. Kyle Wilcox found a partner in Luke Biles as he punished the ball. He brought up his 50 off 43 balls with a six over mid wicket after being 17 off 24 balls. The partnership was 64 when Josh Patterson finally ended the innings bowling Biles for 12. Wilcox remained not out on 64 off 52 balls.
Hibo suffered a major setback early as Angus O’Rourke dived and fielded at point only to dislocate his shoulder.
The game restarted after O’Rourke’s green whistle assisted departure with Cory Knight swinging for the stands. He scored 76, but was finally caught and Crookwell was 1/90 off 15 overs. Hibo took several wickets wickets including a Michael McAlister direct-hit run-out to restrict Crookwell to 6/136 off 28 overs at stumps.
Francis McAlister claimed Cory Knight’s wicket in his 2/32 while Andrew Martin took 3/27.
